Florida Annual Events January Winter Haven - Florida Citrus Festival Titusville, Florida - Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival Tampa - The Gasparilla Pirate Festival The Gasparilla Pirate Festival is an annual event that Tampa hosts every January. The festival is named after famed pirate José Gaspar, who operated out of the Tampa area back in the Golden Age of piracy. The festival begins when Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla sail into town on a 165’ pirate ship, making landfall near downtown Tampa and having a huge parade through the middle of town. It’s a crazy time, and certainly my favorite annual festival in Florida (I try to make it over to Tampa each January to catch it). The Gasparilla Pirate Festival is sandwiched by two other Tampa festivals. A week before, there is a family oriented children’s parade, as well as a “Piratechnic Extravaganza” of fireworks launched over Tampa. This is a good festival to bring the whole family to, and is far less crowded than the main “invasion” and pirate parade a week later. A week or two after the parade, you will see the more adult-oriented Sant’Yago Knight Parade, which marches from Ybor City and as such, predictably can get a little blue....read more February Lake Worth - Street Painting Festival Watch the streets come alive as the artists transform the pavement into works of art. It happens the last weekend of every February in downtown Lake Worth, Florida.

Mount Dora - Antique Boat Festival Thousands converge on Jacksonville each April for this free outdoor blues festival featuring performances from renowned blues artists. Orlando - Central Florida Fair 10 Day Event with music, dance, shows, rides, attractions, food, exhibits and livestock display. Clewiston Sugar Festival Pensacola Crawfish Creole Fiesta celebrates the Cajun influence in the Northwest Florida Community. The event is one of the largest crawfish boils in state. This event features thousands of pounds of boiled crawfish in addition to other traditional Cajun and Creole fare such as red beans & rice, crawfish pie, boudin balls, and even fried gator tails. Daytona Beach Film Festival A day of fun and music at Ed Smith Stadium - Past performers have included Gregg Allman, Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy, Solomon Burke, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Coco Montoya, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmie Vaughn, Sonny Landreth, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Dr. John, The Radiators, Junior Wells, and more greats of the blues. Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Ethnic cuisine along with wine and beer tasting. Winemakers and guest chefs from around the globe. Pensacola Interstate Fair Entertainment, rides, games, agricultural and education-oriented exhibts and displays. Mount Dora - Annual Bicycle Festival Attracting 1000 cyclists, this is Florida's oldest and largest bicycling event! With rides of varying lengths skill levels, cyclists of all ages come and see why Lake County is recognized as one of the best places in the world to ride (Bicycling Magazine, March 1998) November Mount Dora - Light Up Mount Dora (Sunday after Thanksgiving) Lighting of Donnelly Park and Downtown Mount Dora with close to 2 million sparkling lights! Wonderful Holiday Season Entertainment and festivities including Community Choir, Ballet, Soloist, Singalongs and Santa!! December Fernandina Beach Lighted Holiday Parade The Florida State Fair is also held in Tampa in February and is a lot of fun. There are more than 100 rides and games and don't forget the food. From anything fried to cotton candy, ice creams and caramel apples. The kids from 4H and FFA will be onsite showing their animals and wait until you get to Cracker Country. Cracker Country is a turn of the century rustic Florida village. There are always great bands for the headline entertainment as well as daily parades, a sea lion splash show, ballroom dancing, bull riding and barrel racing. The Florida Renaissance Festival is held every February and features enchanted crafts villages, applaud hundreds of performers, knights a fighting and birds of prey.
